History and Milestones
During a history of over sixty years, JSND has been playing a leading role of applied nutrition research and its application for nutrition improvement since 1952. First general meeting of the JSND was held at 1954 in Tokyo. Precedential to the first general meeting, the first issue of the Japanese Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics was published in 1941. The journal has been published bimonthly and the latest volume is vol.76.

・1952 | Nutrition Improvement (Eiyo-kaizen in Japanese) Law enacted. |
・1954 | Establishment of rules of the Society. Members consisted of members of the Japanese Dietetics Society and the National Nutrition Promotion Society. |
・1965 | Establishment of rules of the Society. Members consisted of members of
the Japanese Dietetics Society and the National Nutrition Promotion Society.・1984:
